Our commitment to you:

  • We make a commitment to identify roles that suit your experience and expectations.
  • All of your details either by way of CV or as a result of conversations with our consultants will be treated confidentially and we will always seek your permission before discussing your experience with any clients.
  • In compliance with the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, we do not charge you a fee for finding you a job. Our fees are paid by our clients who specify their requirements to us. We will make every effort to provide you with opportunities and will use the information you have provided to promote you to our clients.
  • We will keep you informed either by e-mail, sms and/or or telephone during every step of the recruitment process.
  • If an assignment requires a professional qualification, we will check your qualifications and professional membership and will only take references with your permission after a written offer has been received unless otherwise stipulated by the client when we will ask your permission beforehand.
  • We will ensure that your records are dealt with in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
  • We aim to foster a positive environment in which candidates, clients and employees are confident in the consistency of approach and application of equality and diversity in practice.
  • No client, candidate or employee will receive less favourable treatment than another as a result of direct or indirect discrimination.
  • We attempt to take every call but this is not always physically possible. If we are unavailable someone will return your call within 1 working day. All emails will be acknowledged within 1 working day.

Your commitment to us:

  • We expect you to provide us with honest, accurate and up to date information including your experience, qualifications and, if applicable, work permits.
  • We are Data Protection compliant and you must therefore keep us informed of any changes to your contact details or circumstances.
  • On confirmation of an interview date and time, and in keeping with Principal People’s high standards, you are expected to be:
    • on time for your appointment;
    • well groomed with smart appearance, (preferably in a business suit);
    • fully prepared, having read the job description and researched the company, with questions about the post. Please also be prepared for potential questions you may be asked about your skills and qualifications.
  • You must, out of courtesy to both the client and Principal People, contact us as soon as you know that you cannot attend a confirmed interview or if you are going to be late. We will then contact the client on your behalf.
  • Please return our calls as soon as you can and, where possible, provide us with feedback within half a day of attending an interview arranged by us.
  • Please provide us with honest feedback following your interviews. This will help us to refine future searches we conduct on your behalf.
  • We ask all candidates to prove their eligibility to work in the UK in order to comply with employment legislation. If you are not eligible to work in the UK we are unable to represent you.
  • If you have already applied for a position which we subsequently brief you about, please let us know. It is our policy not to duplicate the work of other recruitment agencies or to put you forward for a role you have already applied for.
  • Please let us know if you are no longer looking for a new job.
We have a structured complaints procedure to ensure that we live up to this Charter. Should you feel that we haven’t met any aspect of it, we want to hear from you.
