Overview

We are pleased to be working exclusively with an established transport and vehicle business to recruit a new Compliance Officer to the team. The company specialises in the maintenance and repairs of commercial vehicles from motorhome MOTs to supplying parts for vans, trucks, and trailers. With over 70 years of experience within their sector, they have grown extensively over this time through business mergers and an excellent customer reputation.

Based at their main site in Southampton with occasional travel to other sites on the South Coast, this person will be working with the wider Compliance team to maintain a safe working environment and promote a positive culture of continuous improvement.

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for:
  • Carrying out Health and Safety inductions for new staff across several sites.
  • Working with the Compliance Manager to maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditations.
  • Conducting accident investigations where required and reviewing safe working practices.
  • Producing and carrying out toolbox talks with staff.
  • Completing Health and Safety inspections across local sites.

To be considered for this role you must have:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards this.
  • Practical experience working in a Compliance or HSEQ role.
  • Knowledge of or experience working with ISO management systems.
  • Experience and knowledge working with environmental standards.
  • Valid UK driving license.
