Principal People are pleased to be working exclusively with a global leader in insurance, risk management and consulting services who are looking for a Health and Safety Consultant to join their Risk Management team and work with clients in the higher education sector.The focus of this role is to provide health and safety / risk management consultancy services to the company’s established and expanding higher education client base.
As Health and Safety Consultant you will:
- Provide health and safety advice to a portfolio of higher education clients.
- Prepare proposals to clients on a range of services based on their needs.
- Conduct a range of health and safety reviews and produce high quality reports containing practical suggestions for improvement.
- Develop, update and present various in-house and open training events on a variety of health and safety and risk management topics.
- Work with management in the development and promoting of new services and products.
- The role will be varied and interesting, giving you the opportunity to work with a range clients in the Higher Education sector.
- You will have the autonomy and flexibility to manage your own schedule.
- This role is managing a growing sector and will be leading in this continued expansion including the recruitment of additional team members.

- A recognised qualification in Health and Safety / Risk Management
- Experience in a customer or client facing role.
- Experience working in education or the public sector is preferable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and influence at high levels.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to organise workload and prioritise tasks
