Principal People are delighted to be working with a market-leading civil engineering company to recruit an IMS and Audit Manager.

As the IMS and Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and updating processes to ensure ongoing compliance with our Integrated Business Management System (IMS).

You will lead efforts to maintain accreditation to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 44001 standards while reporting to senior management on non-conformities to policies and procedures, making recommendations on improvements and then reassessing those non-conformities after corrective action has been taken.

The IMS and Audit Manager will be Responsible for:
  • Developing and maintaining a compliant Business Management System, ensuring legislative compliance and alignment with ISO standards.
  • Leading external audits to ensure zero major non-conformances and continually reviewing and updating the system to reflect business changes.
  • Maintaining the organisation's accreditations and ensuring compliance with client and SSIP schemes.
  • Developing and maintaining an audit strategy and promoting awareness of legislative and industry standards across the business.
  • Manage a team of auditors, establishing an audit schedule and analysing their reports. Look for trends in non-conformities, which are then followed up with recommendations for corrective actions.
The IMS and Audit Manager will hold:
  • Excellent working knowledge of ISO standards, with recognised lead auditing qualifications ideally.
  • Relevant professional qualification and significant experience in Quality and Compliance management.
  • Proven ability to manage an audit strategy and schedule.
  • Experience in the infrastructure and civil engineering industries, with NEBOSH and IEMA Associate certifications preferred.
  • Good IT skills, specifically Microsoft Office suite, and a full driving license.
