Principal People are delighted to be recruiting for a Quality Manager for one of the UK’s largest utilities contractors who are looking for a confident and motivated individual who will be able to come in and take ownership of the quality function whilst managing a team of Quality Supervisors.

Covering sites across London and the Thames Valley area, you will have autonomy in a hybrid working format. The successful candidate will be based out of their nearest office within the London and home counties areas.

The successful Quality Manager will be required to have a forward thinking attitude to Quality as well as a strong understanding ISO Standards and the implementation of these standards.

Quality Manager - £50,000 - £60,000 + Attractive Package, inclusive of over 9 package elements, including Car or Car Allowance, Annual Leave, Pension, Healthcare – Greater London – Utilities – REF: 630034

The successful Quality Manager will be responsible for:
  • The management of Quality within the business and managing a group of Quality professionals
  • Reviewing current ISO accreditation through internal policies and procedures In line with ISO9001
  • Responsible for Quality testing and inspection plans and auditing against these
  • Ensuring compliance throughout the business and driving a positive culture towards Quality throughout the business
  • Leading of all internal audits, external audits with clients and accreditation assessments
  • Become a key contributor to business strategy to ensure sustainable performance and cooperate with the wider business
  • Be able to understand what poor Quality measures is costing the business and analyse trending data to drive the importance of this across the business
  • Responsible for Quality testing and inspection plans and auditing against these
The minimum requirements for this role are:
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A strong background in Quality management
  • Any quality based qualifications are desirable
  • Any lead or internal ISO based qualifications are desirable
  • Experience of ISO 9001 management systems
  • Ideally have experience within Utilities/Construction/Infrastructure however our client is open to all industry sectors
  • Previous experience of managing a team
