Asbestos Manager – £60,000 - Home working available

We are working with a Housing Provider to search for an Asbestos Manager to support a wider team of property compliance professionals in delivering an innovative and collaborative safety culture through the provision of specialist advice alongside fostering relationships internally and externally to positively raise the profile of compliance.

The main person purpose of this role is to facilitate the associations goal and passion to deliver safe communities within the portfolio that covers the south of the UK and make a positive impact on the lives of those who they support. This role will play a key part in the wider compliance team to improve the way asbestos is managed and how issues are remediated as well as to support the dedicated Building Safety Manager function through the provision of accurate and assured safety information specifically with regard to Asbestos management.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess:

  • A P405 qualification in the management of asbestos 
  • Experience of managing Asbestos removal and surveying contracts with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Experience within Social Housing, local government, student accommodation or similar estates environments
  • The ability to manage a range of internal and external stakeholders while developing relationships

The successful Asbestos Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring contractors deliver works on time and on budget, more importantly that the contracts support in the delivery of legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensuring owned and managed properties are maintained to a high standard with an emphasis of customer service.
  • All contract performance within the property services division with regards to asbestos, ensuring a quality focused and customer service is delivered in line with the in-house maintenance team.
