Environment and Sustainability Advisor - £40k-£45k plus £4.5k car allowance, discretionary bonus, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays – flexible location

Principal People are delighted to offer an exceptional opportunity for an Environmental or Sustainability professional seeking a progressive opportunity with a nationally recognised construction organisation. With the chance to work on a variety of both preconstruction and construction projects, this is an opportunity for an Environment and Sustainability Advisor to further their career.

Working on multiple sites across the South East and East Midlands, this is a home based role and therefore the location is flexible across the South East and East Midlands. The successful Environment and Sustainability Advisor will be conducting site inspections and audits and engaging regularly with site teams. Reporting directly into the Sustainability Manager, the successful candidate will join a supportive team that are passionate about making a difference through sustainability.

The successful Environment and Sustainability Advisor will have responsibilities including the following:   

  • Responsible for gathering environmental data
  • Implementing and monitoring the environmental management system
  • Conducting site inspections and audits
  • Supporting with bids and tenders
  • Ensuring sustainability and environmental compliance
  • Delivering environment and sustainability training
  • Helping to obtain environmental consents and permits
  • Attending client meetings when required

The successful Environment and Sustainability Advisor will have:

  • Degree level in related discipline (or equivalent)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience within Construction, Infrastructure or Highways is desirable
  • Our client is open to seeing candidates with a varied level of experience of environment or sustainability with exposure to relevant sector

In return the successful Environment and Sustainability Advisor will receive:   

  • A basic salary of up to £45,000 per annum
  • £4,500 car allowance
  • Discretionary bonus
