Environmental and Sustainability Advisor- £30k - £40k plus a discretionary bonus, car or car allowance – flexible location

Principal People are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity with a leading construction organisation searching for an Environment and Sustainability Advisor. With the opportunity to work on a number of prestigious construction projects, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills within a growing organisation.

Reporting directly into the Head Sustainability, you will support operational teams and lead ISO 14001 audits across multiple sites. The role is a mix of home based and site based with sites predominately in the midlands but also across the UK.

The successful Environment and Sustainability Advisor will have responsibilities including the following:

  • Assisting in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the environmental management systems (ISO 14001)
  • Responsible for gathering environmental data
  • Supporting with bids and tenders by providing relevant environment and sustainability advise
  • Ensuring sustainability and environmental compliance
  • Delivering environment and sustainability training
  • Helping to obtain environmental consents and permits
  • Liaising with clients and regulatory bodies when required

The successful Environment and Sustainability Advisor will have:

  • Experience of conducting ISO 14001 audits and inspections
  • Degree level in an environmental discipline (desirable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Our client is open to seeing candidates with environmental experience across either construction, rail, civil engineering, or similar

In return the successful Environment and Sustainability Advisor will receive:   

  • A basic salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
