Our client is looking for an Environment and Sustainability Lead to oversee projects predominantly within London with occasional travel to the home counties. Reporting directly into the Health, Safety and Environment Director, this role can be a thrilling opportunity for the right Environment and Sustainability professional to work on diverse and rewarding projects.

The successful Environment and Sustainability Lead will have responsibilities including the following:

  • Be the point of contact for environment and sustainability across several civils projects
  • Support with implementation of environmental strategy
  • Create innovative sustainability programmes to be used by the company
  • Provide environmental expertise for tenders
  • Implement and monitoring the environmental management system
  • Conduct site inspections and audits both internally and for the wider supply chain
  • Ensure sustainability and environmental compliance
  • Engage with stakeholders e.g. Local authorities and the Environment Agency
  • Help to obtain environmental consents and permits

The successful Environment and Sustainability Lead will hold:

  • Degree within a related field
  • Experience within Civil Engineering, Construction or Environmental Consultancy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

In return the Environment and Sustainability Lead will receive:
