Environment and Sustainability Manager - £40k-£50k plus company car, 24 days annual leave plus bank holidays plus extensive package (flexible location)

Principal People are delighted to announce an exclusive partnership with a multi-disciplinary contractor searching for an established environment and sustainability professional to take on the newly created position of Environment and Sustainability Manager.

Reporting into the Head of Sustainability, this position will see you working with the bid function to provide the relevant information for £100 million plus bids across a range of industries. This position offers the flexibility to work from home with occasional travel to Birmingham.

Our client is a dynamic and fast paced organisation, as a result we are looking to engage with passionate and proactive environment and sustainability leaders that are comfortable operating across a range of industries including Government, construction and defence.  

The successful Environment and Sustainability Manager will:

  • Work closely with the bidding team to provide relevant environment, sustainability and social value information
  • Be the point of contact for environment and sustainability queries from clients relating to bids
  • Provide costing and pricing submissions relating to environment and sustainability
  • Provide operational support to the wider sustainability team when necessary

The successful Environment and Sustainability Manager will have:

  • Degree level in related discipline (desirable)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extensive Environment and Sustainability knowledge
  • Social Value knowledge

In return the successful Environment and Sustainability Manager will receive:   

  • A basic salary of up to £50,000 per annum
