Environmental Manager- £40k-£50k plus £6.5k car allowance plus generous package, based near Bromsgrove

Principal People are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity with a leading manufacturer searching for an Environmental Manager. As a newly created role, you will have the unique opportunity to lead environment and sustainability for an international organisation, working in both a hands-on and strategic capacity.

Reporting directly into the Head of Compliance, this role will see you ensuring environmental compliance is met on site and working with a variety or stake holder both internally and externally. The role will predominantly be based near Bromsgrove with occasional travel to Japan and the EU in the future. Our client is an established international organisation and as a result we are looking to engage with passionate sustainability professionals that are comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

The successful Environmental Manager will have responsibilities including the following:   

  • Working strategically to ensure environmental compliance
  • Maintaining and ensuring the continuous improvement of the environmental management system (ISO 14001)
  • Gathering environment and sustainability data
  • Implementing and monitoring the environmental management system
  • Leading ISO 14001 audits
  • Conducting site inspections and audits both internally and for the wider supply chain
  • Ensuring sustainability and environmental compliance

The successful Environmental Manager will:

  • Experience of working with ISO 14001
  • Experience as an environment or sustainability professional (we are open to all industries)
  • Ideally hold a degree level qualification in a related discipline
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

In return the successful Environmental Manager will receive:   

  • A basic salary of up to £50,000 per annum
