Newly created role - Environmental, Social and Governance Lead (ESG) – Hybrid role including home working and travel to international sites – £55,000 - £65,000 + package

Principal People are thrilled to be recruiting for an incredibly unique and exciting newly created role for an Environment, Social and Governance Lead to join a highly reputable global company. The successful ESG Lead will report into the Chief Marketing Officer.

Taking responsibility for Group ESG over a global portfolio, successful candidates will take the lead on all ESG related activities driving improvement programmes. You will be responsible for building strong global relationships with key business functions to influence and lead positive changes to the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Feed into the ESG strategy and implement this across the business that supports the business portfolio, considering different business areas and the relevant impacts.
  • Assess the effects of business activities on the environment and in-turn propose and implement environmental designs to reduce/avoid the impacts these have on the planet.
  • Enhance the environmental awareness within the wider team.
  • Initiate and support a programme for reporting and demonstrating compliance with industry best practice across Supply chain, Production, Logistics, Finance, Sales, and Marketing.

The Successful ESG Manager should have:

  • Examples of developing a positive environmental culture across a business.
  • At least 5 years’ experience within ESG or CSR that includes driving corporate initiatives that link to strategic business objectives.
  • Ideally an Environmental Science degree although not essential.
