Fire Safety Engineer – Up to £65,000 + Package – Consultancy business, working across multiple industries & buildings – Home based and London
Principal People are delighted to have been engaged by a long-standing client within the Consultancy sector.
The company provide an array of consultancy and training services in the following areas

- Private and public hospitals
- Care
- Facilities Management
As the Fire Safety Engineer, you will:
- Provide fire safety engineering support to clients across the UK
- Maintain an expert knowledge of fire safety engineering and fire risk management
- Work with CFD modellers, regarding inputs/outputs and geometries, or use CFD packages, to ensure a positive outcome from the model for the client
- Assist in the production of fee proposals for clients
- Remain abreast of legislative requirements and how standards and best practice support their application
- Undertake and manage correspondence, liaison, reporting, etc. with other staff and clients, as required
- Effectively plan and deliver role-related and fire safety engineering activities
- Attend meetings relating to the delivery of Fire Safety services, and any other meeting as required
As the Fire Safety Engineer you will:
- Be ideally qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline, e.g. Fire Engineering (HND/HNC or equivalent may be acceptable with sufficient experience) along with demonstrable experience of the use and application of fire safety engineering to a range of buildings
- Have an understanding of fire safety requirements within UK Building Regulations & ADB, British Standards (e.g. BS 9999, 9991) and other relevant codes of practice
- Have an understanding and working knowledge of quantified analytical techniques (e.g. smoke control calculations and thermal radiation analyses)
- Be able to take a brief from the project lead and deliver & control the tasks required, within time and budget
