Principal People are currently looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join a progressive waste and recycling organisation. This role is responsible for Health and Safety on one of the businesses site locations near to Selby and will be the sole Health and Safety professional for this location. This role can be offered on a 6-month FTC salary of £40-45k.
This position is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a leading, consistently growing organisation who pride themselves on their commitment to continuous improvement to Health and Safety. Reporting directly to the Head of Health and Safety this role will be solely responsible for operational responsibilities on this site whilst driving the continued improvement to Health and Safety culture, and identifying and implementing continued improvements in relation to Health and Safety o the site.
The successful Candidate will:
- Be NEBOSH General Certificate qualified minimum.
- Have experience working within Waste / Recycling / Engineering / Manufacturing / Industrial / Big plant and machinery / Loading and unloading of heavy materials
- Be happy to work in an industrial environment
- Be an engaging and communicative individual able to liaise at all levels.
