Principal People are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor to join a rapidly expanding Environmental business. Based in York, this company works with businesses around the UK; this is a hybrid role working in the company’s York office 2-3 days a week and the remaining days from home.

This is a newly created role to support the business and their clients as they continue to grow. The company works closely with a range of landowners to meet legislative criteria and encourage biodiversity on their land. This Health and Safety Advisor will work to ensure internal ecologists and external contractors are working in a safe manner.

As the Health and Safety Advisor you will be:

  • Carrying out safety assessments on behalf of various clients
  • Provide internal staff with health and safety training
  • Work with external contractors to ensure compliance to health and safety and company procedures
  • Promote a positive safety culture within the business
  • Liaise with the operations team to identify and drive improvements

As the Health and Safety Advisor you will have:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a Health and Safety role with similar responsibilities
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • An organised approach with the ability to clearly record work and prioritise tasks

In return, the successful candidate will be offered a basic salary of up to £40,000 plus package as well as the opportunity to join a growing and successful organisation.
