Health and Safety Advisor (Business Partner) - £40,000 to £45,000 – WFH / Leicester office and UK travel *Rare opportunity to grow, develop and progress health and safety division within the business*

Principal People have been exclusively engaged by a leading Health and Safety & HR services business based out of Leicester, who are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to support their client base of small-to-medium businesses.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engaging, adaptable and ambitious safety professional to take ownership of the company’s Health and Safety division.

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients from different industry sectors, mainly within; Leisure, Hospitality, Care, Manufacturing & Engineering (don’t worry, you don’t need experience in all of these areas!).
  • Providing Health and Safety advice to clients in relation to their management systems and general day-to-day safety operations.
  • Travelling to client sites for 2-3 days a week, working from home (1-2 days a week) and the Leicester office (1 or 2 times a month).
  • Providing Fire Risk Assessments and general fire safety advice to clients.
  • You will help clients by writing, reviewing and conducting risk assessments.
  • You will conduct Health and Safety audits.

The ideal Health and Safety Advisor, you will possess:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum
  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate (Desirable) – If no NEBOSH Fire Certificate, then practical experience of conducting Fire Risk Assessments (Type 1 & Type 2 FRAs)
  • An adaptable and open-minded approach

In return, the successful Health and Safety Advisor will be offered a salary of up to £45,000 plus car allowance and benefits.
