Health and Safety Manager - £37,000 to £40,000 + Package – Maidstone, Kent - *Prestigious Client*

Principal People are delighted to be recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager to join a well renowned public sector organisation based near Maidstone with occasional travel across two additional sites in the UK.

Taking responsibility to help manage the Health and Safety function, the successful candidate will act as the competent person and will also be the sole point of contact with regards to all health and safety matters.

As the Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing a health and safety reporting programme
  • Carrying out risk assessments and audits
  • Taking responsibility for landlord compliance across the business (fire, gas, electric, legionella, asbestos)
  • Carrying out accident investigations

The successful Health and Safety Manager will have the following qualifications/experience as a minimum:

  • A NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (Diploma is highly desirable)
  • Ideally be a Member of IOSH
  • Experience of working within a Social Housing, Care or FM environment
  • Have a full UK driving licence and car for occasional travel
