Principal People are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to work within a specialist manufacturing company based near Oxford.

This role will be responsible for leading the HSE department and the client are looking for talented individuals from manufacturing/ engineering/ technical industry backgrounds

The role will be covering two sites within close proximity to each other. The role will involve taking ownership of the ISO Management Systems, ensuring all the policies and procedures are complied with to the highest standard and furthermore, setting strategy to further boost HSE performance within the business.   

Health and Safety Manager – Manufacturing – Oxford

The minimum requirements are:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Diploma Preferred)  
  • Experience within a Health and Safety Position previously
  • Experience within a Manufacturing / Engineering / R&D environment

The key duties include:

  • Working closely with the site operational team in improving the standard of Health and Safety on site
  • Ensuring management systems are maintained and meet the standards of ISO45001 and ISO14001
  • Leading the HSE team and management of another HSE professional
  • Assisting with the development and delivery of safety training across the site to new and existing team members
  • Having both an operational and strategic approach to Health and Safety
  • Investigating accidents and investigations and working on a solution to reduce the risk of these reoccurring with the site teams
