Principal People are seeking a Health and Safety Professional to be part of a specialised sub-contractor that works in the Construction Industry. You will be based from Tamworth and operate nationally on large scale major projects, this is a fantastic opportunity to lead safety functions across a profitable family run business that holds strong stability and retention rates. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside respected clients on some of the UK’s largest Construction and Infrastructure projects, in a predominantly office-based position.

This company regularly works on a range of major projects relating to the Construction industry and are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager that will have autonomy and be a trusted and valued employee who will have input and backing from the Managing Director. We are looking for an engaging, collaborative and autonomous H&S professional who holds passion and enthusiasm for Health & Safety and experience within the Construction Industry.

Key responsibilities of this Health & Safety Manager include:

  • Conducting site audits
  • Managing Health & Safety across all functions with the business
  • Writing risk assessments
  • Building relationships with prestigious clients to deliver safe working practises on site
  • Producing and delivering toolbox talks
  • Liaising regularly with site teams

The successful Health & Safety Manager will hold:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
  • Full UK Driver’s License
  • Experience within the Construction industry
