Principal People are seeking a Health & Safety Professional to be part of a rapidly expanding business that works within the Utilities and Infrastructure sectors. With multiple sites operating from Gloucester to Derby, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Health and Safety Professional to take that next step in an exciting and thriving company. The company has a heavy focus on maintaining and improving their Health and Safety record and reputation and building upon their existing, long standing relationship with the client.

This is an operational role and you will manage a small close knit team of 2 experienced professionals, spending the majority of your time on-site. You will be overseeing clean water functions on diverse sites, therefore, this business is seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional who ideally has a strong understanding of the Utilities industry but would also consider candidates from a Telecommunications, Civils, Highways or Construction background . You will hold autonomy in your role and manage your own time to enable you to maintain high standards and build relationships across Health & Safety.

Key responsibilities of the Health & Safety Manager will include:

  • Maintaining an excellent health & safety culture
  • Liaising with senior management regarding Health & Safety performance
  • Continually developing and maintaining strong relationships with the Client
  • Promoting continuous development and maintaining the Health & Safety performance
  • Benchmarking site safety performance and implementing training
  • Delivering Safety inductions to new starters

The successful Health & Safety Manager will hold:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent as a minimum
  • Full UK Driver’s License
  • Experience within Infrastructure or Construction
  • 4+ Years of Experience within a Health & Safety role

Beneficial criteria for this position are:

  • Experience within the Utilities Industry
  • EUSR Tickets
  • Confined Space Experience

In return the successful Health & Safety Manager will be entitled to up to £45,000.00 - £50,000.00 + Company Car + Travel Expenses + Private Pension Scheme + Medical Cover + 24 days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays
