We are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager in Ashby, for a National Logistics company.

This role will be working on a very operational and exciting site in Ashby De La Zouch, which will offer a lot of variation during the day. The site is undergoing an expansion so there is lots of work to get involved with! 

The role will have a great mix between working independently and as part of a team, as there is a wider Health and Safety team throughout the business who are very supportive of one another.

Health and Safety Manager - Logistics -   Ashby de La Zouch - £35k - £40k

Key responsibilities of this Health and Safety Manager role:

  • Maintaining up-to-date awareness of current Health, safety and Quality legal requirements.
  • Delivering mitigation activities for identified gaps and risks, in order to prevent injuries or adverse impacts to employees and/or business.
  • Undertaking audits and inspections of regional sites, collating and delivering findings through appropriate reporting, with identified corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement of standards.
  • Leading and supporting on the undertaking of all ‘risk assessments’ as required by legislation, ensuring that an appropriate review mechanism is in place and used, with records kept appropriately.
  • Working closely with the site teams to improve on the HSE Culture throughout the site.
