Health and Safety Officer - £25k to £27k (pro rata) – 6-month contract – near Redhill – Public Sector

Principal People are delighted to be exclusively recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer to join a reputable public sector organisation based near Redhill.

Supporting the health and safety manager with operational health and safety duties, the successful candidate will act as a competent person providing health and safety advice and guidance throughout the organisation.

As the Health and Safety Officer you will be:

  • Carrying out risk assessments and audits
  • Carrying out health and safety training
  • Conducting accident investigations
  • Attending divisional meetings and providing information on accidents 
  • Writing health and safety reports

The successful Health and Safety Officer will have the following qualifications/experience as a minimum:

  • A NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Ideally be a member of IOSH
  • Experience of working within a public sector, property management or care backgrounds
  • Be happy to be based on site five days per week
