Home-Based Health Safety and Environmental Advisor - Midlands - £40K-£50K – Construction

Principal People are thrilled to offer a genuinely unique opportunity for a Health Safety and Environmental Advisor, seeking a fresh opportunity with a sought-after employer who are passionate about professional development.

This highly reputable Construction business can offer outstanding training and development, with the opportunity to work closely with an In-house trainer completing various courses and the potential to study the NEBOSH Diploma. Therefore, this is a rare opportunity for an individual that is passionate about health and safety and has a genuine desire to develop their career.

The Successful Health Safety and Environmental Advisor will cover various sites throughout the midlands whilst being based from home.

Key day-to-day duties:

  • Facilitate the implementation of the HS&E Management System which helps reduce risk and support a positive HS&E culture.
  • Assist Site Management Teams in preparing the Construction Phase Health, Safety and Environmental Plans prior to a project commencing, and ensure that it is reviewed and updated at regular intervals.
  • Where working practices pose a significant risk to health, safety or the environment, ensure that the unsafe operation is stopped and inform Divisional management immediately.
  • Contribute to improving the business, protecting and enhancing the reputation of the company, by putting forward new ideas and, when requested to do so, implementing change

The Ideal Health and Safety Advisor will hold:

  • NEBOSH General or Construction certificate as a minimum, (or equivalent)
  • 2 Years’ experience working within the Construction Industry
  • Practice working throughout multiple sites

Remuneration and Benefits:

  • £40K - £50K Salary, dependent on experience
  • The option for a Hybrid/full electric company car or £6400 car allowance per annum.
  • 24 days annual leave + Bank holidays
