Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Systems and Assurance Manager - 45K plus package 

Principal People are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a nationally recognised Civil Engineering specialist who are seeking a Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Systems and Assurance Manager to join their growing team. A high quality contractor who provide an array of services for their established clients across the UK will offer the successful applicant an opportunity to join a high performing business who have consistently grown.

The autonomous position will enable the successful Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Systems and Assurance Manager to work from home and an office near Shalford, Surrey and also visit sites across the South of England. Taking responsibility for the improvement and standardisation of assurance across the business, the position will also maintain, improve and implement assurance policies and procedures.

With a clear vision to progress into a Head of Health and Safety position over the coming years, this is truly a rare opportunity to join an established specialist who are passionate about development and continual improvement.


The successful Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Systems and Assurance Manager will be organised, have strong communication skills, be able to manage their own diary autonomously and be proactive within their work.


Further responsibilities include:

  • Attending team meetings and briefings  
  • Improvement and standardisation of assurance across the business
  • Site visits
  • Review and maintain business management systems
  • Implementing policies and procedures

The successful Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Systems and Assurance Manager will hold:

  • Experience working in Civil Engineering or Construction industries or similar.
  • NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction certificate or equivalent
  • Experience working with business management systems.
  • Lead or Internal Auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 is beneficial
  • Full UK Driving licence

In return the salary is £40-£45k + company car or car allowance + Fuel card  + 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays + pension scheme + Discretionary bonus
