National Health and Safety Manager - £50K-55K + Package
Principal People are delighted to be working in collaboration with a specialist business recruiting for a National H&S Manager, due to a retirement the business is looking for a Health and Safety Manager with a fresh perspective. This really is a unique opportunity that will best suit someone who wants to lead strategically and operationally a national H&S function.
Our clients risk profile is predominately, working at height, lone workers, managing subcontractors, access equipment.
The successful H&S Manager be based from home covering sites nationally while also reporting into an office in Stoke 1-2 days a week and reporting into an office in the East Midlands.
Day-to-day Duties:
- Carrying out risk assessments, site audits as well as accident investigations, working with a variety of clients within the construction industry
- Produce detailed reports for the completed inspections
- Driving a positive Health and Safety culture throughout the wider team
- Monitor existing and incoming legislation and regulations on health and to ensure that the company complies with their requirements.
- Develop and agree strategic plans for HS&E and related activities that meet current and future needs of the business
The successful H&S Manager will have:
- Level 3 or above H&S Qualification as a minimum
- The ability and experience to lead and manage health and safety for the business
- The ability to improve H&S culture
- Any experience with working at height, access equipment, Mobile Elevated platforms, cranes, street works, CAT, GENNY, Track Safety, or scaffolding is desirable.
Remuneration and Benefits:
- A basic salary of £50-55K dependent on experience
- The option for an electric or hybrid company car or £5,000 car allowance
- Fuel card or milage expensed
- 23 days Annual leave rising with service
