Health & Safety Manager  (Site Based) – £60,000.00 + Private Pension Scheme + Private Medical Cover + 26 Days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays Based near Lewisham

Principal People are seeking an ambitious, communicative and experienced Health and Safety Professional to be part of a multi-disciplined, diverse contractor that works in varying sectors across the Construction industry. Working for a Principal Contractor, this role will focus on overseeing site safety on a £100 million housing development near Lewisham. Working on behalf of an established client, you will oversee the development from the initial phases to completion of the project including the construction of café, community areas and other commercial units.

You will oversee all stages of the construction process whilst maintaining and building on the positive and established relationship with the client. This business has gone through a phase of recruitment within Health & Safety of late due to their impressive expansion of works in and around London, therefore, on completion of this project there will be many more projects and also opportunities to develop into a senior figure within the business. This is a truly exciting time to join them given their experience within their SHEQ team, variety of Construction works and huge pipeline of prestigious projects across London.

Key responsibilities of this Health & Safety Manager include:

  • Overseeing site safety on the project across all stages of Construction
  • Building relationships with Site Teams and Sub Contractors
  • Communicating regularly with senior figures within the business
  • Assisting with the implementation of SHEQ campaigns
  • Supporting training functions
  • Conducting inductions and toolbox talks

The successful Health & Safety Manager will hold:

  • A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience within the Construction Industry

Beneficial criteria of the Health & Safety Manager Include:

  • CMIOSH
  • Worked on Major Construction Projects
  • Currently an established H&S Manager
