I am currently seeking a Compliance Officer within a well-established multi-disciplined Education organisation based in London.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Compliance Officer will have a real sense of insight of the ins and outs of the organisation combined with a supportive leadership team who like to see themselves as enablers rather than disablers.

Working in a modern and vibrant environment the successful Compliance Officer will enjoy a wide variety of operations that happen on a day to day basis within their state of the art, newly developed sites.  Offering variety and autonomy, they may be open to individuals willing to relocate, with the focus being placed on finding the best individual for the business.  

The successful Compliance Officer will be responsible for:

  • The Compliance of Safety, Health, Environment, Fire Safety and Data Protection for the Education organisation.
  • Promote a health and safety culture throughout the organisation and ensure that members of staff receive the appropriate training, particularly on induction.
  • Ensure that the organisation is compliant with all aspects of the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Develop, review and regularly update health and safety policies, procedures and practices.

The ideal individual will possess:

  • A degree level qualification (will consider those who have relevant experience and qualification in relation to compliance)
  • Relevant experience within a Compliance function (Essential)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Data Protection principles, including all aspects of the GDPR (Essential)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of current Health & Safety legislation (Essential)
  • Strong IT and minute taking skills (Essential)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Essential)
  • Skills in analysing and synthesising information to produce clear and concise documentation

The industry leading salary package includes a basic salary of £45,000 - £50,000 dependent upon experience.  In addition, the organisation offers a generous package including free lunches and over 28 days annual leave + a range of school closure days.
