Principal People are excited to be recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor position to join a highly reputable Rail and Civil Engineering organisation within the Midlands. The business is able to offer outstanding training and development, with the opportunity to work closely with the currently appointed Health and Safety Manager, covering multiple sites throughout the UK where you will both office and site based.
Our client is open to all experience from a variety of sectors.
The successful candidate will be working closely with suppliers, clients and all site staff looking at a all aspects of Health and Safety. This positive challenge will include writing and reviewing risk assessments, method statements and creating reports.
Key responsibilities of this strategic and operational role include:
- Site inspections
- Work closely with contractors and sub-contractors
- Toolbox talks.
- Writing and review risk assessments and method statements
- Report writing
- Fatigue management
The successful Health and Safety advisor will hold:
- NEBOSH General Certificate/Construction Certificate as a minimum
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
In return the salary is £25-£30k + company car or car allowance + pension scheme + 26 days annual leave.
