Health and Safety Advisor - £40k-£45k plus a Discretionary Bonus, Company Car or £4,500 Car Allowance + 28 Days Annual Leave based across Oxfordshire

Principal People are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety professional seeking a progressive opportunity with a sought-after employer who are working on significant contracts and projects. This leading organisation is a specialist in the Highways and Infrastructure sectors and is presenting a Health and Safety Advisor the opportunity to work on one of the most prestigious contracts in the UK.

Based out of one of the depots in Oxfordshire and working on multiple sites across the county, the successful Health and Safety Advisor will be working closely and engaging with multiple site teams at a time.

This site and office-based role will be reporting directly into the Regional Health and Safety Manager and you will be carrying out site inspections and audits. As well as this, the successful Health and Safety Advisor will be providing support to the project teams and ensuring site safety is maintained.

Key responsibilities of this H&S Advisor include:

  • Engaging regularly with the site workforce
  • Influencing and maintaining safety culture and behaviour on site
  • Supporting site teams with risk assessments and method statements
  • Carrying out accident investigations and site audits

The successful H&S Advisor will hold:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent as a minimum
  • Experience within the Construction sector or similar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Our client is open to seeing candidates with a varied background within construction and infrastructure, exposure to the Highways industry or a similar sector including Utilities, Infrastructure, Rail, Civil Engineering is highly advantageous.

In return the salary is £40-45k + Discretionary Bonus + Company Car or £4,500 Car Allowance + 28 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays.
