Health and Safety Advisor - 33k-40K plus package covering sites across the South West

 

Principal People are delighted to be recruiting for an incredibly exciting position as a Health and Safety Advisor which would suit a professional looking to take the next step in their career and join a highly reputable organisation who are established as a leader within their specialist fields. A newly created position suited to an individual with a Mechanical and Electrical background, this nationally recognised organisation offer extensive career progression and training opportunities.

Working on a multiple site basis across Wiltshire, Bristol and Somerset the successful Health and Safety Advisor will be able to manage their diary autonomously, hold flexibility to work from home and report into depots across the region. Leaders across the Utilities, Civil Engineering and Mechanical and Electrical field, the Health and Safety Advisor will work closely with site teams and report directly into the Compliance Manager. Covering a wide and diverse risk portfolio across multiple sectors, you will be responsible for providing Health and Safety Advice and guidance and completing audits.

The Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Supporting and advising on all sites
  • Conduct accident investigations
  • Conduct regular audits
  • Toolbox talks and training
  • Developing Safety, Health and Environmental procedures
  • Support behavioural safety initiatives
  • Assist with CDM

The successful Health and Safety Advisor will hold:

  • Experience within Mechanical and Electrical
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent as a minimum  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • UK Driving license
  • Any further qualifications relating to Mechanical and Electrical are also highly beneficial.

Our client is open to seeing candidates with a varied level of experience of Health and Safety with a Mechanical and Electrical background including heavy installations and commissioning.   

In return the salary is £33-£40k + company car or car allowance + fuel expenses + pension scheme + 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. + Discretionary bonus + Healthcare.
