Job Description

Health and Safety Specialist / Accidents and Investigations Lead - £40k- £48k plus package based near Pudsey, West Yorkshire.

A truly exceptional newly created position as a Health and Safety Specialist has arisen within a fast growing multidiscipline organisation who hold an impeccable reputation and excellent core values. Offering extensive career progression and training opportunities, the Health and Safety Specialist will take the lead on all accidents and investigations across the organisations diverse risk portfolio including Construction, Civil Engineering, Waste, Utilities and also office environments.

An even split between office time and operational site visits across Yorkshire, the successful Health and Safety Specialist will work closely with and engage with the existing Health and Safety team to prioritise and ensure that all near misses, incidents and accidents are investigated. Working with a wide range of individuals, the Health and Safety Specialist will conduct root cause analysisto enable future improvements.

Working on a multiple site basis across Yorkshire and working from an office based near Oakenshaw, Bradford or Headingly, Leeds the successful Health and Safety Specialist will have an exceptional opportuntiy to further progress their career within an established business who hold Health and Safety at the highest regard.  

The Health and Safety Specialist / Accidents and Investigations Lead will be responsible for:

  • Conducting root cause analysis
  • Accident and incident investigations
  • Creating reports
  • Liaising with the Health and Safety team to ensure all incidents are followed up as required.
  • Attend regular client and internal meetings
  • Site visits

The successful  Health and Safety Specialist / Accidents and Investigations Lead will possess:  

  • The NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent as a minimum
  • Experience working within Construction, Civil Engineering, waste, infrastructure, manufacturing, Insurance, Aviation or Engineering backgrounds
  • A UK Driving license
  • Extensive experience undertaking accident investigations and conducting root cause analysis
  • Desire to progress and lead accident investigations.

Our client is open to seeing candidates with a range of experience across the Construction, Civil Engineering, waste, infrastructure, manufacturing, Insurance, Aviation or Engineering industries.

In return, the successful Health and Safety Specialist will be entitled to £40,000 - £48,000, up to 20% pension, company car or car allowance, travel expenses, discretionary bonus and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
