An exceptional opportunity has arisen for the position for a Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Manager with a market leading contractor. Principal People are delighted to announce that we are working with a key client of ours in the civil engineering and utilities industry.
As the competent person for Health and Safety, the primary function of the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Manager is to communicate best practice policies and practices across the group to ensure the safety of their employees and site teams.
Reporting to the HSQE Director, the successful Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Manager, will be responsible for a small to medium size team and be heavily involved in strategic work. The ideal candidate will be based from a commutable distance to Burton upon Trent and Derby and open to nationwide travel, they will be a motivated individual with an innovative and forward-thinking approach to Health and Safety.
The successful Quality, Safety and Environmental Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing a team
- Site Visits
- Reporting to the board
- Involvement in tendering and bids
- Maintaining the company’s management system
- Report writing
- Accident and investigations
The ideal individual will possess:
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent as a minimum.
- Proven experience of projects involving civil engineering, utilities, or construction.
- Proven experience motivating employees to promote and nurture a truly embedded Health and Safety culture.
- A driver’s licence is essential for the position.
This industry leading contractor are offering a salary between £40k-£45k plus an extensive package (depending on experience).
