9 Month FTC - Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor – Paignton  – Up to £45,000

Principal People are delighted to be recruiting for an exceptional 9-month Fix Term Contract opportunity within an established and successful business that works within Civil Engineering, Utilities and Highways. Working on multiple projects across the Torquay and the South West , this is the opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that is looking to expand HSEQ functions as well as offering exceptional development opportunities

Our client is looking for a Safety, Health and Environment Advisor to maintain standards in a fast-growing business that holds strong integral values. Reporting directly into General Management, this role can be a thrilling opportunity for the right Safety, Health and Environment professional to work within a successful and friendly business and have the opportunity to see a variety of diverse sites in varied locations across the South West.

The successful Safety, Health and Environment Advisor will have responsibilities including the following:   

  • Ensuring site safety
  • Writing and reviewing Risk assessments & Method statements
  • Undertaking Toolbox talks
  • Attending site safety meetings
  • Undertaking incident investigations
  • Monitoring safety documentation quality

The successful Safety, Health and Environment Advisor will hold:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent as a minimum
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 Standards
  • Ability to work on autonomously and deliver key company goals
  • Experience working understanding of SHE legislation within Utilities, Highways, civil engineering or a similar industry

In return the Safety, Health and Environment Advisor will receive:

  • Up to £45,000
