Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Building Safety & Compliance Manager to lead the delivery of critical safety services across their diverse property portfolio. This is a senior leadership role at the heart of ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk, and championing a culture of continuous improvement in building safety and service excellence.

You will lead a team and oversee the performance of contractors delivering essential safety services including fire safety, gas, electrical systems, lifts, asbestos, and water hygiene. As a key advisor to the Accountable Person under the Building Safety Act, you’ll play a vital role in managing life safety risks and ensuring robust, compliant processes across all properties.

This role offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing, development, and work-life balance. You'll enjoy hybrid working, 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. The organisation invests in your future with a contributory pension scheme, alongside professional development opportunities to help you grow. Support for your personal life is equally important, with enhanced maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave, staff also benefit from a wide-ranging wellbeing programme and flexible annual benefits covering healthcare, dental, shopping vouchers, and more.

Above all, the culture here is built on genuine care and balance. One team member shared, “I’ve never once received an email after 6pm since joining the organisation,” while another said, “I’ve never felt so welcomed, this team is made up of incredibly friendly and supportive individuals.”

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic delivery of safety and compliance services across the estate
  • Manage contracts to ensure technical excellence, budget alignment, and value for money
  • Develop and maintain safety cases for high-risk buildings
  • Drive a shift from technical compliance to a resident-first safety culture
  • Oversee data management systems to ensure accuracy and accessibility of safety records
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, regulators, and residents
  • Monitor and report on performance, budgets, and contractor effectiveness
  • Provide clear, actionable advice to senior leadership on policy, legislation, and risk
The Ideal individual will have:
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of building safety legislation and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A collaborative, resident-focused mindset
If you're passionate about building safety and want to make a real difference in a progressive, resident-centered organisation, we want to hear from you.
