We’re excited to be working with a growing Waste and Logistics business based in Cheshire looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their team. This is a crucial role in a company that puts safety as the focus of everything they do, with supportive backing from the senior leadership team.

As the Health and Safety Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the sites Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) strategy across the two locations in Cheshire and you will be in a hands-on operational role promoting best practices and building a proactive safety culture across the sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the company’s HSEQ function across multiple sites.
  • Provide expert advice and practical support on Health and Safety issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and implement control measures.
  • Drive cultural change by engaging teams and promoting ownership of safety.
  • Develop and roll out site-wide and business-wide HSE strategies.
  • Foster a strong working relationship with the senior leadership team and workforce.
What We're Looking For
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Proven experience in a Waste, Logistics and Transport environment.
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Strong understanding of HSEQ practices and compliance
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a safety role
  • Experience of developing and implementing strategic practices
  • A hands-on approach, with the passion and drive to make lasting improvements
