Principal People are excited to be recruiting for a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager to join a highly established utilities organisation who are seeking a passionate and innovative leader to join the safety team. This role will offer you the opportunity to work within a leadership position working in both a strategic and operational capacity. This role is to pay £55-62k + Package.The successful SHEQ Manager will be required to utilise a people focused approach to health and safety whilst demonstrating their leadership capabilities for this progressive organisation.
The successful SHEQ Manager will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Senior SHEQ Manager in ensuring overall SHEQ compliance across the business and contract.
- Rolling out SHEQ Behavioural & Cultural initiatives and training
- Ensuring Capital Teams comply with their legal duties and responsibilities
- Carrying out audits and inspections
- Compliance to CDM regulations
- Supporting the development and implementation of the Health and Safety Environmental strategy and plan
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety management systems
- NEBOSH General Certificate minimum
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (Desirable)
- Experience within Utilities, Water, Construction, Civil Engineering
- Experience / Understanding of CDM responsibilities.
- Strong communication abilities, able to liaise at all levels
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to drive change.
- Flexible to travel primarily throughout West / South Wales
