We’re recruiting a Trainee Health, Safety and CDM Advisor for a growing specialist surveying and project management business. Based near Leicester, the role offers a balance of office, site, and home working – with real mentoring from an experienced Principal Designer.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a long-term career in health and safety, working across a wide range of construction and refurbishment projects for the business’s clients. You'll be supported every step of the way as you learn how to manage pre-construction health and safety responsibilities and coordinate compliance from start to finish.

Key duties of the Trainee Health, Safety and CDM Advisor:
  • Learn from and shadow an experienced Senior Principal Designer.
  • Support the management of health and safety across multiple construction projects.
  • Review contractor RAMS and contribute to pre-construction planning.
  • Liaise with contractors and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the development of new ideas and improvements across H&S and project delivery.
  • Contribute to documentation, site visits, and project coordination.
Why you should apply for this Trainee Health, Safety and CDM Advisor role:
  • Genuine career progression and full support for your development.
  • Exposure to both refurbishment and new-build construction projects.
  • Learn how to manage CDM responsibilities in a specialist environment.
  • Friendly and close-knit team with a good work-life balance.
  • Starting salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
  • £400 a month car allowance and flexible working across office, home, and site.
Please apply if you:
  • Have a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Are motivated to build a long-term career in H&S, CDM, or Principal Design.
  • Have some understanding of construction activities or project environments.
  • Have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and are keen to learn.
If you’re ready to take your first step into CDM and health and safety with a business that’s committed to your growth, we’d love to hear from you.
