The focus of this role is to carry out spot-checks and inspections across national sites, helping to champion a positive safety culture by identifying gaps in behavioural safety and compliance. In this role you will:
- Conduct audits and workplace inspections to monitor and assess safety behaviours.
- Provide practical safety guidance and advice to staff.
- Help identify improvements to safety systems and practices
- Assist Health and Safety Advisors with incident investigations where required.
- Promote and share good safety practices
- Support effective relationships with internal teams, unions, partners, and contractors.
- Handle employee and public liability matters confidentially.
- Assist in the coordination of Health and Safety initiatives within the group.
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification – or working towards this
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with staff
- The ability to plan and manage your own schedule
